What to do with leftover candy canes!
We had a bunch of candy canes leftover from Christmas.
So I made up this science experiment!
I lined up four to five different cups and marked them with different solutions. Some of the examples that I used was: water and food coloring, vinegar, rice vinegar, oil. But you can use whatever you have laying around.
My Daughter had fun making the different solutions.
My daughter had fun mixing the baking soda with the vinegar.
Then we waited 15 mins. and observed and wrote down our observations. We also hypothosized what we thought would happen.
The blue water actually was one of the most acidic solutions!
Then we enjoyed one!
The oil surprisingly had little to no effect on the candy cane!
Happy Experimenting!
