2020 social media trends to get your clients talking and buying

Stop using last decades’ methods to reach 2020 audiences- 2020 social media trends that you need to know to boost your followers and get your ideal client.

Facebook and Instagram are not just places to post your latest photo about your business with a cloud of hashtags. It’s time to get strategic about WHAT your are posting, HOW you are posting and most importantly, WHY you are posting.

Video is king
- over 80% of all content online is video related content.
According to FORBES,

Personal posts will be key to connecting people to your brand
Make posts personal through user content, fan videos, membership pages, and direct messaging

Use more of your fan’s photos and reposts and videos talking about your brand. Your fan’s automatically bring the MOST personal experience there is. Why not repost and thank them for their review of your product or service?

Use private Facebook groups and private “members only” buttons on website to get your invested followers that want to commit.

Create the “human experience” through getting your clients to talk to a “real person” with texts, phone calls, help lines, chats or “gasp” person-to-person meetings Use DM’s, PM’s, person emails, personal texts, and *shock* snail mails with hand-written, personal message to reach your potential clients or to thank your past clients.

Use stories and “flash content”

Content that is only available to see under a certain amount of time.

Just like a flash sale on Amazon, your future clients are more likely to click on content that will go away and there is an urgency to look.

With our attention spans getting smaller and smaller, stories provide a way for your clients to “channel surf” quickly through a massive amount of content in a small amount of time.

Digital Marketing Institute talks about the power of stories here:

One of the biggest emerging trends on the platform… is Instagram Stories. This new, very Snapchat-inspired function allows users to upload impromptu photos and videos to their 'Instagram Story' which lasts just 24 hours before disappearing off the social stratosphere altogether - and it's really starting to take off.
These bite-sized stories have the power to boost brand awareness and inspire engagement and if you'd like to add Instagram to your arsenal of social media skills …

Become your own store online and empower your buyers to “shop now”

Have the ability for people to shop directly from your posts with a link in bio, link on product or a link in the comments

Don’t just talk about your product or services, use links for people to easily “book now” or “buy now” when they see your video or service about it.

create conversations through memories The power of nostalgia-  remind your clients and customers about “what it was liking growing up” –

Talk about things in your childhood. Talk about how your product or services “takes them back” to a simpler time, place or memory, smell or sensation.

Think about how many products you’ve seen ads for that’s a throw-back to something you saw or had as A kid and you want to experience it again.

What are your goals for reaching your ideal client in 2020?

How can you change your online or social-media presence to make your product or service more personal through video content, stories, nostalgia or other ways to get them talking about you?
